Tessa Gunter

Tessa Gunter, a founding member of the Humane Society in the British Virgin Islands, has provided shelter and care for injured animals and strays for over three decades. Tessa is dedicated to getting animals off the streets and then integrating animals back into the community through responsible adoption. The Humane Society receives no government assistance and instead is supported purely by the hard work of Tessa and her assistant, Vijay Bissoondutt. They also run a boarding and grooming facility to cover the cost of overhead. Look for Tessa at the many fundraising events, yard sales, gaming nights, and dog shows that she organizes throughout the islands.
