Score Some Shrimp Here

The popping sounds filling the ears of snorkelers and scuba divers on the reefs are produced by the numerous shrimp populating the BVIs. The two families of shrimp most likely to be seen in the area are Penaeidae and  Sicyonidae.
 
Sure, that's fine and dandy, but I'm sure you're wondering where you can eat some good shrimp in BVI.  Wonder no longer, check out these hometown eateries and their signature shrimp dishes:
 

  • Pink salmon and shrimp canapés served beachside at the Sugar Mill Resort. (284-495-4355) 
  • Lisa Potter offers a killer shrimp scampi at Potters by the Sea. (284-499-9637)
  • BBQ shrimp at Anegada Reef Hotel (284-495-8002) is not to be missed.
  • The Soars family, owners of Neptune’s Treasure (284-495-9439), offers both a superb stuffed shrimp and sautéed shrimp.
  • Cow Wreck Beach Bar (284-495-8047) does shrimp right!
  • Soggy Dollar Bar (284-495-9888) provides a scrumptious shrimp salad wrap.
  • Pusser’s Landing (284-495-4554) is brave enough to offer all-you-can-eat
    shrimp on Tuesdays (along with an excellent pig roast on Fridays).
  • Village Cay Restaurant and Bar (284-494-2771) dishes up crab stuffed shrimp, as well as a popular curried shrimp.
