Growing up on Tortola, Quito Rymer has always been in tune with his island and its rich culture. A BVI hometown hero, this legend in the making first sharpened his artistic talents through painting and drawing. His career began in the church halls of Cane Garden Bay. Teaching himself to play the guitar, Quito began to compose both lyrics and music. Today Quito plays both as a solo act and with his band, “The Edge.” Throughout his musical rise to fame, Quito has opened for the Third World, Freddie McGregor & Ziggy Marley and has appeared many times on television. BVIslanders and tourists alike enjoy Quito's tunes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and can hear him play solo as guests enjoy their dinner and drinks overlooking Cane Garden Bay. On Fridays and Saturdays you can also hear Quito Rymer and The Edge play for a crowd ready for dancing and singing at Quito’s Gazebo.
