Guana in the News
Only confirming what we BVI fans already know, the professional travel world continues to give Guana Island great press. Among recent reviews, Guana was rated “one of the 10 Great Places to Get Married” by Forbes Traveler.com, as having “the finest beach in the BVI” by Caribbean Travel and Leisure magazine, Upscale Living called Guana “fantastically isolated and richly appointed” and stated that “a view of an explosively red sunset made you forget how great the
food was.” Guana was also recently rated the top resort in the BVI by the Freeman Group that inspects all of the BVI’s hotel and resort properties on behalf of the Government.
Making this continued string of success possible, are folks like Michael Sergeant, who just celebrated his 25th year on Guana. And let’s not forget about Christine Matthias whose 20th year we also recently celebrated. And lastly, there are other longtime standouts such as Lynford Cooper (17 years at Guana), James (Hammah) Daley (19 years), Val Jardine (17 years), Howard Watson, and Belinda Christie (15 years). With a stellar staff like that, who can blame the travel world for continuously ranking Guana Island, and the BVI as a whole, among the best sandy spots on the planet.
