Hometown Hero of the Week: Henny

On Anegada, a hometown hero known simply as “Henny” will show you the way. Just ask around, and locals will point you to her goodies that often find their way to local markets. If you can manage some face-time with this charming islander, snag it, you won’t be disappointed. From a small garden behind her stucco house, Henny will let you sample ripe tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and callaloo. She also has a small herd of goats. Best of all -- Henny keeps things organic and bypasses all chemicals. If you chat long enough you’ll learn that this popular islander is also known for the very best sea grape jelly in quite possibly the entire world.
