Scrub Island:
A 230-acre private tropical paradise with lush foliage, it is one mile from Tortola.
Sandy Spit:
A picture-perfect deserted island, it is the kind you dream about. A popular day anchorage.
The Dogs:
Six small, uninhabited islands that are home to some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling.
Fallen Jerusalem:
Just off the tip of Virgin Gorda, Fallen Jerusalem is uninhabited and rocky, yet home to a tiny beach worth visiting.
Great Camanoe:
An uninhabited island that has a vibrant reef for snorkeling. There are moorings in Cam Bay.
Little Camanoe
: Also uninhabited, Little Camanoe offers a popular diving spot just off the northeast tip.
Ginger Island
: An uninhabited island made popular by Alice in Wonderland, this is a diving destination.
Little Thatch
: A private fifty-four-acre island that is home to the Sea Grape Cottage.
Jost Van Dyke
: The smallest of the four main islands of BVI, it is named after a Dutch privateer.
Marina Cay
: A family-friendly island, it is complete with Pusser’s restaurant and Robb White Bar. There is a free ferry from Trellis Bay.
Dead Chest
: An uninhabited national park that serves as a popular diving destination (Coral Gardens, Dead Chest West, and Painted Walls).
Eustatia Island
: A tiny private island that has a handful of villas.
The Indians
: An excellent diving and snorkeling spot, the Indians are made up of four pinnacles worth exploring. Several moorings are available.
Saba Rock
: A tiny island boasting a restaurant, bar, gift shop, and small resort.
The Tobagos
: Rugged cliffs and cays make up this BVI National Park. It is perfect for both bird watching and diving. Check out Mercurious Rock.
Mosquito Island:
A 125-acre oasis that is complete with popular snorkeling spots at Honeymoon Beach and
BVI consists of more than sixty islands, cays, and rocks. Though a complete list is hard to come by, it’s advisable to dig up every map and nautical chart possible and explore them all. A sample of a few of the best includes:
