Local BVI Fish Fry

Any roadside stand in Little Apple Bay, just drive along Tortola’s North Beach and look for a grouping of roadside stalls under the big banyan tree near Zion Hill Road. This fish fry is perfect for those staying in the Sugar Mill Hotel who want an easy stroll to sample the island’s local treats. Go on a Friday night!

Quito’s Gazebo (284-495-4837) in the North Shore features a mouth watering Wednesday night Fish Fry.

Though Da Wedding in Cane Garden Bay hasn’t offered any late night activity by local fishing legend Poui as of late, this will always be a good spot for eats. Call ahead, if you can catch Poui at lunchtime you’ll be treated to a fresh catch.

Myett’s in Cane Garden Bay (284-495-9649) offers an unforgettable fry, at times complete with live music by local bands such as 02B.

At one time Ceta’s Place in Capoon’s Bay, on Tortola, was the only place to be on Thursday nights. The informal gathering, live music, and sizzling fish have ceased for the time being, but keep your fingers crossed that Ceta may one day soon reinvent her gift shop, bringing back the popular fish fry!
