Though its fourcourse prix fixe menu is not to be missed, simply ordering a cocktail and taking in the sights is worth the trip alone.
 
Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda (284-494-2746). This popular clubhouse for yachtsmen, known as yachties, sits proudly on the Gorda Sound. Serving up a mean lobster with all the West Indian sides you can imagine, these upscale digs should always make your list.
 
Little Dix Bay Resort on Virgin Gorda (284-495-05555, Web site: www.littledixbay.com). Considered the original luxury resort in all of the BVIs, Little Dix offers a breathtaking dining terrace under a pavilion-style roof. Lunch is à la carte, with dinner a bit more dressy.
