British Virgin Islands

Money

The currency of the British Virgin Islands is the U.S. dollar. In fact, the British Virgin Islands has used the dollar as its currency since 1959. Major credit cards are accepted in many, but not all, establishments. There is, however, a 10¢ stamp duty on all checks and traveler checks.
