About the Author - Paul Spicer
Paul Spicer, an award-winning author and columnist, is known for lively tales of off-beat travel along with colorful characters and nightlife from the international stage. From food and spirits to art and entertainment, his work has graced the covers of worldwide publications. He has served as a travel writer for North Star Travel Media, Weissmann Travel Reports, and International Living, while his food and drink reviews regularly appear in Brick Weekly, Patterson’s Beverage Review, and Karma Magazine. Spicer has also created his own ice cream flavor, Cappuccino Crème Brule with Shortbread Cookies, for Bev’s Ice Cream, with all proceeds directed towards a non profit organization. Continuing to publish works related to fun, food, and travel—a portion of the sales of British Virgin Islands: The Hometown Lowdown Guide to Travel & Taste will help support new chefs with an interest in local ingredients and BVI recipes. With tucked away island destinations serving as his subject matter, Spicer has created Island Lowdown Press, along with an online community at www.islandlowdown.com, for adventure seekers to share their travel secrets and converse with local chefs, business owners, hotel owners, and fellow travelers.
