Bert Kilbride

Though Bert now lives in California, he certainly left his mark on BVI! Bert is a diver, treasure hunter, and the owner of the original Saba Rock. Bert also owned Mosquito Island and was the creator of Drake’s Anchorage dive resort. Bert is most famous for his connection to Jean-Michel Cousteau, who he led throughout BVI during diving and whale watching trips. Cousteau also produced a movie about Kilbride, solidifying this man of the sea as a BVI hometown hero.
