Laurance Rockefeller

Laurance Rockefeller was the pioneer designer and builder of the famous Little Dix Resort on Virgin Gorda. He is known throughout BVI for his respect for the land and desire to build a high quality, yet low-density, resort on the island. Rockefeller, who was a Congressional Gold Medal recipient, opened Little Dix Bay in 1964 with 14 villas. Rockefeller’s vision is now carried out by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.
